The façade
A building with a future that also has a past.
The building dates back to 1536 and bears the traces of every one
of its previous occupants: tradesman, cloth-maker, mayor, carpenter,
shoemaker, regional court physician and fruit dealer.
In 1990, the Winkler family from Parkstein purchased the listed
buil
ding and decided to turn it into this extraordinary inn using the
latest construction methods, skilled craftsmanship and great
sensitivity.
The exemplary restoration and renovation of the building earned the BräuWirt
first
prize from the Bavarian Construction Industry in 1994. It was decorated for
its
successful
combination of traditional craftsmanship and the possibilities of
modern-day construction methods.
